Conditions Treated – Accident Doctor

Chiropractic care is effective for a wide variety of conditions and injuries. The following partial list addresses some of the most common conditions treated at SafeCare Docs:

CTSCarpal Tunnel Syndrome
The syndrome is caused by pressure on the median nerve just above the wrist.

Lower Back Pain
Back pain is the second most common reason for visits to the doctor’s office, outnumbered only by upper-respiratory infections.

Neck Pain
The degree of flexibility of the neck, coupled with the fact that it has the least amount of muscular stabilization, and having to support and move your 14 – 16 pound head, means that it is very susceptible to injury.

Did you know that Sciatica is actually a sign that you have an underlying problem putting pressure on a nerve in your lower back?

Disc Problems
Disc problems can result from genetics, the normal “wear and tear” of aging, car accidents and falls, repetitive over-use, and back injury.

Headaches are common in our fast-paced, pressure-filled world. Too often, we turn to over-the-counter medications to relieve our discomfort. Unfortunately, these only mask the underlying sources of our pain.

Pinched Nerves
The term “pinched nerve” is somewhat of a catch-all phrase, commonly used to describe pain associated with a variety of conditions, from joint fixation, to tunnel syndromes, to the referred pain from trigger points.

Trigger Points
Trigger points are very tight “knots” that form when muscles are either chronically overworked or injured; they are often experienced as a pinching or burning pain.

Joint Dysfunction
Joint or articular problems are caused by osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease), subluxations, sprains, intervertebral disc problems, and various abnormal changes in the curve of the spine.

Scoliosis is a sideways or lateral curvature of the spine that causes stiffness and pain. If detected early, treatment may prevent worsening of scoliosis over time.

Neurological Conditions
Headaches, neuritis and radiculitis are the most commonly treated neurological conditions in the chiropractic profession.

Osteoarthritis is the degeneration of the cartilage and bones of joints and a frequent contributor to back and joint pain.

Whiplash is the common name given to the injury where hyperextension (increased backward motion) and hyperflexion (increased forward motion) of the cervical (neck) spine has occurred.

Frozen Shoulder
Frozen shoulder can affect people of any age but is most commonly diagnosed in people ranging from 40 – 70 years of age, predominantly women.

Plantar Fasciitis
Did you know plantar fasciitis is one of the most common explanations for heel pain?

Your Back During Pregnancy
During pregnancy, a woman’s center of gravity shifts forward to the front of her pelvis. This additional weight in front causes stress to the joints of the pelvis and low back.

Tennis Elbow
Practically any occupation, sporting endeavor, or household activity that has repeated use of the forearm and wrist may lead to this condition.

Auto Accidents
If you have been involved in a car accident, whiplash injuries need to be taken very seriously.

Fibromyalgia is a syndrome characterized by chronic pain in the muscles and soft tissues surrounding joints, fatigue, and tenderness at specific sites in the body.

If you do not see your specific condition listed, we encourage you to call us so we can personally address your particular concerns.
